Meet Selina, Miss Wear Celestials 2026 of Miss Teenager Netherlands 2026

Meet Selina, Miss Wear Celestials 2026 of Miss Teenager Netherlands 2026

On Sunday, September 20, 2026, the Miss Teenager Netherlands final took place. Selina finished third (second runner-up) and was also crowned Miss Wear Celestials, a subtitle the finalists could win through a social media challenge. For the next year, she will be the face of Wear Celestials.

Wear Celestials is an official partner of Miss Teenager Netherlands, so this was a very special day. Selina came third, second runner-up, but she took something else home with her: the title of Miss Wear Celestials. She won it through a social media challenge, one of the subtitles the finalists could compete for.

At Wear Celestials, we didn't have to think long. Selina will be the face of our brand for the coming year. Together we'll do shoots and campaigns for our new jewelry collections, and of course she'll receive the packages of each new collection herself.

Afterwards, we asked her a few questions.

What was Miss Teenager Netherlands like for Selina?

Positive! Selina loved the group, the organization, and the days were great fun. She also took part last year and enjoyed it even more this time. The group dynamic in particular was fantastic.

How does it feel to be Miss Wear Celestials?

"Amazing," she says. Selina has been a fan of Wear Celestials since the casting, where she wore purple earrings (a great choice, we might add). She gave it her all and wanted to get more out of it this year than last time. She did: going all in pays off.

Who is Selina outside the pageant?

Selina is a real go-getter. She has earned her diploma and has been working as a passenger assistant at Schiphol Airport for a year now, all week long and with great enjoyment. She also helps out in her mother's dress shop, originally a bridal shop, now specializing in gala dresses. When customers come in, Selina is right there with them.

In her free time, she loves going out for dinner (sushi or nasi, a tough choice), grabbing a drink, or going to a concert. She prefers to do her own hair and nails. She has an 18-year-old younger brother and a close bond with her grandmother.

Growing up with two cultures: Dutch and Surinamese

Her mother is Surinamese and Dutch, and Selina grew up with both cultures. In terms of norms and values, home feels a little more Surinamese, but there was never a clash. In 2024 she visited Suriname and loved it: "It's my second Netherlands, simply home." She knows where to find her place.

What does Miss Wear Celestials stand for?

This is perhaps the most beautiful part of the conversation. From a young age, Selina was put in a box because of her skin color, and she sees that there are few winners of color in the world of beauty pageants. She wants to do something about that: use her voice, whether people like it or not.

"We are allowed to be seen, we are allowed to stand here."

She knows it's a sensitive subject in the pageant world and that it doesn't always feel comfortable for her either. But it's one thing to deny something and another to speak out for it, and she chooses the latter. She already did so at school. Her motto for the future: true to yourself.

Her message to young girls

Don't let anything stop you from saying what you want to say. Don't be too careful. Keep standing on both feet, speak up, and be yourself. If you believe in it, you'll go far.

What will Miss Wear Celestials do in the coming year?

During the pageant, we noticed how much support Selina has within Miss Teenager. We're happy to carry that support with us into the coming year. Selina, welcome to the Wear Celestials family! Follow us on social media for the first shoots and campaigns with our new Miss.
